• A lot has happened in the past 18 months. William proposed to Saga with Karani’s ring, but they still hadn’t gotten married, because he stuck to what he originally said. William kept his word, and said he would only marry Saga once she had her degree. She was working hard on it, and she only had seven months left before she finished her studies.
• Lucy had come to visit, and to our surprise, she and Adara got along really well. Lucy adored Jace, and he liked her, not as much as he loved and adored Adara, though. Kiran taught her basic magic, and I had joined them for dinner every night for the four weeks she had visited them. Lucy was afraid of Tala, and Falcon had just laughed, because Tala had that same presence Levi had.
• Malachi had run out of a Council meeting in Sterling when Jessica phoned him, crying hysterically, only to find out that their dog had died. Jessica didn’t talk to him for a week because he’d laughed at her. It wasn’t that he didn’t love that dog, he was just relieved that it was the dog that died and not someone in the family. She still threatened his life whenever he left for Council business.
