• It was nearing Christmas and Jo was planning a special Christmas party for the occupants of the safehouse. She had booked a catering team that would cook Christmas lunch for the women and Scott had agreed to dress as Santa Claus and hand out presents to the children.
• Thalia wasn’t sure if Levi would be back in time to spend Christmas with us because he wasn’t sure how long their trip to Switzerland would be. She had finally given in to me and resigned from the hospital and she helped Jo at the safehouse on a permanent basis now.
• I woke up at 1 AM to find the bed empty and I got up. Jo had been sleeping badly the past couple of nights but every morning she’d smile when I asked her if she was okay. ‘Time to put that baby to bed,’ I thought as I went downstairs.
