• At their room we bid James and Shoran goodnight and went up to our room. I unlocked the door and it swung open. I picked Adara up and carried her inside. She was laughing and I smiled at her. I kicked the door closed with my foot and put her down in front of the bed.
• “I’m the luckiest woman in the world,” Adara said in the darkness as we stood in front of each other.
