• Malachi was quiet as he drove back to Jessica’s house. He slammed his hand against the steering wheel as anger started building up in him. They were in the dark garage, still sitting in the car and he could feel Jessica’s gaze on him. His anger was directed at Kiran, at his recklessness and the fear that had gripped him, thinking that he was losing him.
• Her emotions were all over the place, as was his. He was frustrated with Kiran. He loved him most in this world but Kiran was also infuriating and he struggled to deal with it, mainly because he kept placing himself in danger and the thought of losing him was one Malachi wasn’t ready to face.
