Chapter 601
- The days passed agonizingly slow, and things with Kari had gone from bad to worse. There wasn’t much I could do. I couldn’t divorce her, and I couldn’t leave her. Divorce didn’t exist in our world, and it hurt that I loved her while she seemingly hated me.
- I sighed as I pulled the Jeep into the garage, and looked at the closed side door. I really didn’t want to be at home but I had to suck it up and be a man about it. I could only hope that Kari would get better once she’d given birth.
- I walked into the kitchen, and smiled at Falcon as he stood up from the kitchen table where he’d been busy stripping a pistol. He switched the kettle on and took two cups from the cupboard. He leaned against the counter while he waited for the kettle to boil.
