Chapter 98
- Lexi’s POV
- I see Luca take aim at my capture’s head and pull the trigger. I don’t need to look up to know that Luca hit his target. In fact, the warm liquid that splashes all over me informs me that he did. I go to raise up on my feet, but fall back down due to my ankle. Some how during my almost kidnapping, I must have hurt my ankle. I glance up at Luca but decide to call out to Aldo for help instead. “Aldo, can you please come help me up. I think my ankle might be injured.” I reach out to him so he can pull me up. Once I am standing, I lean in on him. I can tale this makes him uncomfortable because he tenses up. I don’t really care at this point. I start to hobble over to our SUV so I can sit down. All I really want is to go to Luca’s parents house and sleep. When my ass finally hits the leather seat, I tell Jason where to take me. I catch Aldo gazing back at Luca for permission for us to leave. Luca nods his head so Aldo gets in and we take off.
- I peer down at my foot and see that it is swollen. Great now I am going to have to get someone to help me inside. I lean back and close my eyes, and go over all the events that went on today. Seeing Kristen there really messed me up more than anything else that went down today. She was my best friend, and even though nothing was said about her and Luca, I could tale that she was guilty about something by her expression. Tears pour out of my eyes and down my face. All I really want is to be happy. When we are about ten minutes from mother’s house, head lights pop up out of nowhere and get right behind us. I glance back and it’s not just one set of lights but three. I hear Aldo curse out loud before grabbing his phone and dialing a number. No doubt that he is calling Luca. “Hey boss we have company. Three vehicles are surrounding us. We are on Oak Ave about eight minutes from your parents’ house.” That is all he is able to say at the moment because one of the SUV’s rams into the side of us. “Shit boss they are trying to wreck us. Send back up ASAP.” Aldo hangs up the call and rolls down his window and starts shooting.
