Chapter 13

• Lexi’s POV
• I drift off to sleep waiting for Luca to come unleash his fury on my already sore ass. Opening my eyes, I look down and see the cause of my coldness. The comforter I had covered up with has been slung off of me. ‘I must have kicked it off during my sleep,’ I tell myself. Leaning up I snag the covers and go to lay back down, until I hear someone clearing their throat. I sit upright and look for the perpetrator that made the noise. That’s when I spot Luca standing at the foot of the bed. I swallow down the lump in my throat, that is preventing me from talking. “I-I -I’m s-sorry, I know I shouldn’t have put my hands on one of your men. P-p-please don’t let t-t-them touch me.” I stutter out in a hurry. When my mouth opens to start talking again, I’m hushed by a very pissed off Luca. I start back pedaling in the bed, wanting to get more distance between us. I don’t get very far due to my bruised ass. Luca still hasn’t said a word to me, and it is worse than him yelling at me. At least if he was yelling than I know what he was thinking. All I can do is look down at the comforter and stand by until he decides what he wants to do to me. A good five minutes has passed by and I can’t handle the silence any longer. “If you are going to p-p-punish me, can we please get it over with the anticipation is killing me.” I tell him. Finally, Luca starts speaking, “why do you think that you are in trouble and deserve a punishment? Do you believe what you did was warranted?” I lift my eyes up so I can see his face, it still has the same blank expression that it always has. “I think that creep deserved everything plus some, he put his hands on me. I’m not some kind of toy to be passed around. I’m a very loyal person, and I believe that if you own me only you should touch me. He acted like he had the right to touch me. I know I probably embarrassed you that is the only thing I regret doing.” I told him with confidence in my words. Sitting here in suspense, the pressure is starting making me sweat.
• “Well, if you can answer me one question truthfully than I don’t think any lesson needs to be taught over this. I’m actually proud, and shocked at your actions. Here’s the thing that I can’t understand, why didn’t you play along with him to earn you an ally inside my organization?” My mouth falls open and I start shaking my head. “Did you just ask me the stupidest question possible. I’ve only known you for a short period of time, but I can already tell that you would kill me dead if I tried to leave. Plus, you know where I am wouldn’t be hard for you to find my family and kill them. Me not fully submitting to you, not only will make my life a living hell, but can also put in danger those I love. So, I guess my answer is why would I trust someone with my life who doesn’t have any real power. Plus, my life so far isn’t that horrible here. I have a roof over my head, food to eat, great sex, and someone to look after me. All I have to do is bite my tongue more, and give you full control.” I answer why shrugging my shoulders. Peering up at Luca again I can see something else in his eyes, it looks like hunger, lust, and maybe happiness.
