• When I saw it was just the two of us, I was determined to find out as much as I could about LJ’s future in laws. “Hello, my name is Lexi.” Is all I said while holding my hand out for her to shake. She peeked up and saw my stretched-out hand and took it without delay. “My name is Erin, it’s very nice to meet you.” She said barely above a whisper. “So, I’m not even going to try to pretend that I’m not about to start a conversation with you without an agenda. I would really like to cut through all the bullshit and just get down to who the heck your family is, and why is our husbands arranging a marriage between a toddler and an infant? I wasn’t brought up in the mafia world this is all new to me. I could ask my mother-in-law, but I have a feeling that I won’t be able to talk to anyone after I leave here. Luca was pretty pissed. She lifted up on her feet and made her way to the back where the bar was and started pouring her a drink. “Care to join me” she asked me. I followed the same path she did and sit down on one of the bar stools. Looking straight at her I said “I wish I could enjoy a nice stiff drink right now, but I’m pregnant. I don’t know what it would do to the baby.” “Oh, wow how did you, you know what never mind it’s none of my business.” Was Erin’s response.
