Chapter 90
- Lexi’s POV
- I’m finally going home today. I would be lying if I said. I didn’t enjoy the time apart from the kids. I can also say that I have missed all three of them every single day. I’m glad I got to bond with Matteo just the two of us, but I’m ready to be released from this hospital. Luca has shocked me these past three days. I have seen more of him in that short time span than I have in months. I don’t let myself get use to it, because I know he will go back to staying away from us in no time.
- Mother voice gets me out of my own head. “Are the two of you ready to go?” I nod my head while scanning over my room one more time to ensure I haven’t forgotten anything. I lay Matteo down in his car seat and buckle it up. The nurse strolls in pushing the wheel chair for me. Damn hospital policy I hate being pushed around in that thing. Oh well, if it means busting out of here, I would let somebody push me all the way to the house. The thought of one of Matteo’s men pushing me down the street makes me giggle.
