- Lexi’s POV
- I barely make it back into Matteo’s bedroom before I can no longer take the pain in my ankle. I place him back into his crib and slide down to the floor and ball up. The only thing I can do is cry. It’s really over this time, he might make me stay. But he can never make me love him again. I hear the door creak open and feel hands start to touch me. I raise my head up and am staring directly into Luca’s face. I’m irate in a second, I try to scoot away from him. But it’s to no avail. He scoops me up and carries me off back to our bedroom. I’m glad he does because what I need to say I can’t in Matteo’s room while he is sleeping.
- As soon as we are back in the safety of our room, I wiggle out of his hold. I spin around with so much hate that my vision starts to blur. I take deep breathes to relax. The only way he will listen to me is if I’m calm, he doesn’t do well with people yelling at him at all. Once I count to ten, I start talking. “Luca, I know you heard every word that I said to Kristen and I meant them. There is no reason for you to touch me. I don’t want you to and any kind of affection or sexual passes is unwelcoming. You might have the power to force me to be with you, but that is what it will be is rape. I will have to find a way to deal with those feelings by myself, because I know you will never let me go. I have forgiven you for so much during our time together, but this I can’t. A lot safer then at our house, which is why I think it would be best if the kids and I shacked up here for a few weeks. Let you get your house in order.
