Chapter 102

• Lexi’s POV
• A phone ringing in the distance wakes me up from my nap. I try to bury my head under the pillow to drown out the noise. When I go to move, I realize that there is something holding me down. I crack open my eyes and perceive it’s not something it is someone. My mouth flies open and I am utterly speechless. As long as Luca and I have been together I can count on one hand the times that I have woken up with him beside me. I wonder what in the world he is still doing here. I lay there just admiring his handsome features. I think to myself ‘God I really do love this man. I just wish that our relationship was a two-way street. Instead of a one way which is Luca’s way.’
• I lift his arm off of my body so I can get out of bed. I don’t make it very far when I hear Luca’s voice. “Where do you think you are going?” I stop and tell him “I need to use the bathroom. Then I was going to go check on the kids and with mother. I feel the mattress shift alerting me that Luca was moving towards me. I scurry onto my feet and head directly to pee. I wash my hands when I am done and waltz into our bedroom. Luca is sitting up against the headboard staring at me.
