Chapter 105

• Lexi’s POV
• Mother and I are back in deep conversation when I see movement out of the corner of my eye. I tilt my head in that direction. Two men are coming my way and they are none other than Luca, and Jaime. Mother notices that my attention is no longer on her. So, she spins around and as soon as her gaze lands on her son and guy beside him she lets out a gasp. Mother must be just as shocked as I am. MY body tenses up the closer they get to me. Once my husband and this stranger is in front of me Luca reaches down and grabs me by my upper arm and hoists me to my feet. He wraps a protective arm around my waist and holds me as close as he can.
• Luca speaks with pride in his voice. “My love let me introduce you to Jaime. Jaime this is my wife Lexi.” I nod my head while saying “nice to meet you.” Jaime laughs while responding to me. “I told you I would learn your name. I was just telling Luca how lucky he is to have such an obedient woman to that he can call his own.” He stops talking for a minute before continuing. “Well Luca I will be the first one to admit that you have done a wonderful job at getting and keeping your spouse in line. I have a couple of other people I need to speak with before this night is over, so I must take my leave. Good night.” Then Jaime causally strolls away from us.
