• Lexi’s POV
• He puts my phone down to reach in his pocket to get his phone. He dials a number, and then starts talking in Italian to whoever is on the other end. Papa hangs the call up, and winks at me. “If it’s alright with you, I’m going to play with LJ for a bit. Why don’t you go and get cleaned up, and put on a real nice dress, and join be back in here in an hour.” He says to me. I nod my head and do go get in the shower. Luna is there when I get out to help me get ready. Exactly fifty-five minutes later, I’m back in the living room sitting on the couch. Wasn’t long until I heard the elevator ding, I stand up to greet whoever it is. To my surprise it’s Luca. He walks directly to me, and grabs my arm in a tight hold and yanks me back to the bedroom.
• “Why the fuck didn’t you call me? Instead, my father has to tell me what’s going on.” He asks through gritted teeth. Still shocked that is who papa called I don’t answer. This only makes him grip my arm harder. “Answer me now god damn it.” “I’m sorry I made you mad honestly; I didn’t know if you would even care. That’s the impression that you’ve given me and the whole family. If Alessandro really thought you cared, he wouldn’t have dared text me that message today. I have a son who I would like to see grow up, I called the person who I thought would help me. I was hoping to keep you out of this.” I say with so much confidence in my voice. “Why would you ever think I wouldn’t protect you? You are my wife, and the mother of my son hopefully soon it’ll be sons.” Luca questions. I start laughing, but before I can respond the elevator door dings again.
