• Lexi’s POV
• Not wanting to waste any time I proceeded to text Margaret. I read and then reread my message ensuring that it was suitable to send. “Hello, this is Lexi Luca’s wife. He gave me your number, so we could set up a play date with the kids. I would love to invite you over to the house any time that your available. Looking forward to meeting you soon.” Feeling confident about my wording I hit the send button. I shoot a text over to Luca informing him that I reached out to Margaret and was waiting a response.
• Sitting here my mind kept wondering ‘why is it so important to Luca for me to message Margaret now. It’s been months since his capo approached us about be friending his daughter-in-law. Luca has never said anything about it before, then all of a sudden, he tells me to reach out to her and jumps down my throat not even two hours later when he asks me about it. Times like these I wish I could just simply ask Luca what is going on, but I wouldn’t dare to question him about nothing anymore. I wonder if he is sleeping with Margaret?’ My phone dinging brings me out of my own thoughts.
