Chapter 48

• Lexi’s POV
• We’re meeting Luca at the club; it made more sense than him driving all the way back to the house to get us. On the car ride over I start to get butterflies in my stomach. “I’m nervous for some reason for Luca to see me tonight. What if he doesn’t think I look good.” I confess to Luna. “Oh, please girl everyone can see the way Luca looks at you. That man loves you with all his heart. You could walk in wearing a potato sack and still turn him on.” She tells me. The driver pulls us in front of the entrance to the club. One of the men on my security detail comes and opens the door for us. We saunter up to the bouncer and he lifts the red velvet rope and allows us entry.
• Remembering the rules that Luca set before I was allowed to come in the club. The first was I had to find him as soon as I arrived. The second I’m not allowed to talk to any guys. The third no way am I to dance with any other man at all. And the last I had to ask him every time before I did a shot of liquor. Luca might have changed as far as loving me, but in the controlling department it seems like he might be worse now than he was before. He has to know my every move, who I talk to, what I’m wearing, and if I leave the house for any reason. Oh, well you’ve got to take the good with the bad. I chuckle out loud to myself about all his rules.
