Chapter 112
- Lexi’s POV
- I sit there and ponder over mother’s advice. She waits patiently beside me for my answer. After giving it, some thought I come to realize that she is indeed right. Taking a deep breath, I slowly exhale then I tell her my choice. “You are right. As much as this is going to suck, I believe that it is the best option for me moving forward. But there is one more favor that I must ask of you. Please can you come and visit me as often as you can. I know that is asking a lot from you, and I am sorry to put you in that place. But you and Luna are my only friends.” I smile weekly at her. She scoffs at me, before saying. “My dear you should know better by now. You are my daughter. I will do what ever I can to help make you life easier. Now you better get up and start getting yourself and the kids ready. Luca said he wanted to leave here by 4:30 pm., and it is already 2:48 pm.” Mother gets to her feet and bends down to places a kiss on both mine and Luca’s foreheads.
- As I watch her leave, I can’t help but think how much I love that woman. I get up out of bed and hurry to the closet to get dressed. Once, I have my clothes on and make-up and hair done, I come back out to my bedroom. I put LJ on the floor and pick up Matteo and the three of us head to the sitting room where the other kids are with Luna. I place Matteo down in his swing and rush out to gather clothes for all of the children. I make quick work of getting them dressed and ready to leave. I make sure to feed them a snack, so none of them are ill on the car ride home. When the time is 4:20 Luna and I take all the kids to the main living room, so mother and papa can give them a kiss good bye. Luca is on his phone when he waltzes in, and I automatically zone in on his conversation. “Yes, we are about to leave my parents house headed there now. So, we will be there when you arrive.” He pauses a few seconds I guess listening to who I am assuming is Kristen on the other end. “Don’t worry everything will be ok. Just steer clear of her, and there won’t be any problems. She has a lot going on with all of the kids, and doesn’t have time to be wondering what you are doing.” He shuts up again before growling out “bye.”
