Chapter 54

• Lexi’s POV
• As soon as the back was soundproof again, Kristen is the first to break the silence. “Lexi, are you sure about this. You know Luca is going to be altered as soon as we pull up there.” “Kristen, I don’t have any power over my life. After tonight I bet, I won’t be able to step a foot outside for a very long time. This bitch knows he’s married, that’s my apartment she is living in. When I first moved in there it was just furnished, I’m the one who spent weeks making it into a home for my son. When Luca first kicked us out, and we moved into that apartment, it wasn’t a home. Luna, mother, and I spent months turning the place into my sanctuary. I loved living there. I was finally happy. I put my heart into every detail from the pictures on the walls to the paint color. It was a place where I didn’t have to hide in shame, I felt like I actually had some control of my life back. This penthouse means something to me, Luca can keep his fucking whores there all he wants. But somebody is going to have to put in the time and work like I did redecorating. I’m not going in here to fight the bitch, but to tell the truth I hope it does come to that. I’m going in here to help them start with a blank canvas. I’m not going to fuck any of Luca’s furniture up, only the pieces that I added. I understand if you two don’t want anything to do with what is about to go down. So, you can sit in the car, and I won’t be mad at all. I understand how scary Luca is trust me, and I don’t want him to be able to hold anything against either one of you.”
• When we were about two blocks away from our destination, I scooted to the door. I wasn’t going to waste anytime waiting on someone to open up my door. “You’re about to get straight redneck up in that bitch, aren’t you?” Kristen asks me. “Yes I am.” I answer her. “There’s no way in hell I’m going to miss it. Luna I’ll record everything so you can watch it later.” Kristen responds. “It feels like the old days doesn’t it” I laughingly question. “Yep,” is the only word she says, because we had arrived. I sling open my door and jump out. I amble my way into the building and straight to the elevator. I don’t look over my shoulder at Leo, because I know what he is doing. The doors open, and Kristen and I saunter in and hit the button for the top floor. I catch a glimpse of Leo on his phone speaking to someone. I wink at him as the doors are closing.
