Chapter 57

• Lexi’s POV
• Shockingly Luca abruptly stands up, and starts to head back outside. He places LJ down or tries to. LJ was latched onto Luca almost like he was scared to let him go. I get Mia out of his arms and lay her down. “I need to change my clothes,” Luca informs me. An idea pops into my head so I relay it to Luca. “Here let me get into the water and then see if LJ will come to me then.” It worked the second LJ saw me in the pool he started reaching out to me. Luca passes him to me, and I remember I need to probably spray some more sun block on him. “Luca, before you leave can you please hand me that sun screen on the table. I need to put some more on him. I would hate for him to get burnt.” I meekly ask him. He doesn’t hesitate in doing so.
• Luca disappears back in the house, I thought he was coming right back out. After about 40 mins he still hasn’t showed back up. It broke my heart for the kids, and I can’t lie also my own to. I hear the sliding door slide and I jerk my head up thinking it’s Luca but it’s just Luna. “Hey sorry it took me so long, but there was a wreck and the traffic was horrible. They didn’t have the usual tests you’ve taken with the other two, they only had these three.” Luna informs me while taking the test out of the bag. Focused on our conversation I failed yet again to notice that Luca has snuck up on us. When I see him I still in the water, and tell Luna “Thank you. If you want to go in and relax for a little bit you can, or if you want to come swimming you can do that also.” I signal her with my eyes to let her know Luca is standing behind her. When the clues sink in her back goes straight, and she answers my suggestions. “I think I’ll go take me a quick nap, if that is ok with you.” I nod my head, and she spins to leave only to be stopped by Luca. He snatches the bag out of her hands, and bobs his head over his shoulder telling her to leave, and she does just that.
