• Lexi’s POV
• Not wanting to be a second late I go downstairs at 11:20 am, and wait patiently by the front door. Luca stops walking when he notices me, he checks his watch then gives me a nod of approval. He takes my hand and we head towards the SUV’s. We drive for about five minutes, before I break the silence. “Is there anything that I should know to do, or not to do? Can you tell me something about your parents, so I won’t go in their blind please?” I practically beg him. “People say I am a carbon copy of my papa. My mother she is an angel among the devils. You remind me so much of her. Everything will be fine as long as your completely obedient, because the men in this family won’t settle for any misconduct from the women. I was brought up knowing that one day I would lead my family. In order to be a good leader my organization deserves than I must marry and produce an heir. Hence why you’re here now. Usually, a Mafia Don such as myself only marries women that were born and raised within a higher up mafia family. That is why everyone is so shocked about me marrying you. That is why it is so important for you to make a good impression. Don’t sit over there and think that if you act out, my family would make me marry someone else. I run this family and I won’t take any other bride other than you. I’ll never lie to you, so when I say it won’t be easy for you in my family. I mean it, you’ll have a hard time. All the ladies will want to be you, all the men will want to be with you. All of them will try to find a flaw, so loyalty is of the upmost importance. Trust me you don’t want to be the reason your whole family is dead.” He filled me in
• We pull up to a gate just like the one at Luca’s house, we continue on to the main house. It isn’t quit as massive as Luca’s mansion, but it is still huge. There are cars parked all along the drive. I look at Luca and he has an outraged look on his face. There has to be more people here than just his parents. “Who all is here Luca?” I nervously ask him. “It looks like they invited the whole family, plus maybe some other guests. Don’t leave my side when we get in there.” He retorts back to me. The front door opens and a man and women meet us outside on the steps to welcome us. Luca gives his mother a kiss while introducing us. I learn his mother’s name is Annabella, and his papa’s name is Lucas. His mother smiles so kindly at me, while his father glares unapprovingly at me. His mother hooks her arm around mine as we walk in. She slows the speed of our pace, so they we fall behind Luca and his father. Wondering what she was doing, she leans in and starts to tell me. “Dear I’m so sorry for all these people your about to meet. Don’t worry about any of them. Just promise me that’ll you’ll either stay right by my side, or with Luca. No one else no matter how trusting they may seem. Don’t show any man disrespect, and don’t let any woman walk on you.” She said barely above a whisper. I nod my head to let her know I understood what she said. We walk straight back past the dining room, living room, kitchen and a set of stairs to the back yard. There is a pool, a pool house, and about sixty people back here. Waiters are walking around passing out drinks and finger foods.
