• Lexi’s POV
• The longer I’m kept in this fucking room the harder it is to breath. I’m having an internal melt down inside my head. ‘What the hell does being introduced into the family even mean. He’s just a baby, how can I tell Luca that I’m not comfortable with LJ being around the family business until he is a lot older. I want my boy to be able to enjoy a childhood, have fun, date girls, and not have to carry the weight of the mafia on his shoulders. I knew that someday LJ would probably take over for his father, but this is way too soon. I’ll just talk to him after this meeting is over. If I can’t make him see reason, then I’ll have no other choice, but to run away.’
• Luca grabbing me around the waist slamming my body up against his, gets me out of my deep thoughts. His nails are digging into my side, I realize why. Apparently one of his capo’s was asking me a question and I totally blocked him out. I clear my throat and say “I’m so sorry I was feeling kind of sick for a moment. What did I miss?” The older man responded saying, “oh dear I remember how sick my wife got when she was with child. I was just telling the boss here that I have a grandbaby girl that’s 11months old, and my daughter-in-law hasn’t really left the house since my son’s passing. So, I was hoping that maybe the two of you could get the girls together sometime? It would do her and you a lot of good I bet.”
