Chapter 7

• No sooner had Ethan closed the SUV door than I heard him shifting back into his magnificent wolf. He stalked toward Dad with no fear, no hesitation. I was in awe. All I knew of my father was that he commanded fear and intimidation. Ethan seemed untouchable.
• They met in the middle of the road, face to face, and my heart pounded in my chest.
• “Hey, it’s going to be alright. Alpha Ethan knows how to fight. People usually back down from him,” the passenger in the front seat said.
