Chapter 120
- Elsie could tell that I was under a lot of stress, and she also knew that my brother was being held hostage by the Lycan King. So I had more at stake here than the others did. I was desperate to get my best friend back. Ryker was always there for me, and right now, I didn't feel like I was doing anything for him. I felt like a failure. I had been feeling that way ever since he was taken, and I didn't have a clue where he was.
- I kept trying to clear my head and concentrate on what I did know. He was definitely with the Lycan King. I knew that there was a room in the house that looked like a room for royalty, and the Lycan King was sitting on a throne. I saw an emblem on the floor, but Ryker was right in the middle of it, so I only saw the outside of it. I didn't see the proper emblem. But I knew that if I saw that room again, I would be able to recognize it immediately. It had golden-colored walls and red drapes; the sun was beaming in, but I didn't know what time of day it was there. There were large pillars down the room where you needed to walk to get to the throne. I saw warriors standing around the room in armor, like men wore in the 1700s during battle. I got the impression that the Lycan King was trying to replicate that sort of feeling. Like this was the 1700s and he was the king of the world or something. I really didn't know. But that was the feel of the room.
- They were warriors. Werewolves. Why would they need to wear armor? It made absolutely no sense.
