• “We’re attacking your dad’s pack tonight. I’ll be leaving warriors behind to protect this territory and my pack. But I need to take a lot of warriors with me,” Ethan explained, his voice firm with authority, but his eyes betraying the weight of his decision. The tension in the room was thick, humming with urgency and a sense of inevitable danger.
• “What about me?” I asked, my voice steady but filled with a mix of fear, frustration, and anticipation. I wasn’t going to sit this one out without asking.
