Chapter 191
- The king ran to the east wing of the castle and charged straight into the middle of the battle without hesitation. Chaos surrounded him, and as he looked around, he quickly realized just how badly outnumbered he was. The sounds of swords clashing, wolves growling, and warriors shouting filled the air. He tried to assess the situation, but something felt off. Deep in his gut, he knew that something wasn’t right. The enemy seemed too prepared. Their attacks were too precise, too focused. That was when it dawned on him.
- He knew that Summer was smart, and he knew that she would have already figured out where Ryker was being kept. She had been in this castle before. She knew its layout. She knew exactly where the throne room was located and how to reach the dungeons. It made sense to him now. She would have gone there first, not wasted time in random attacks.
- He turned sharply and yelled to the warriors around him who were not yet caught up in the battle. “Get to the throne room now!” he commanded. His voice was fierce and demanding. “That’s where you’ll find Summer. That’s where they’re headed!”
