Chapter 193
- SUMMER'S POV
- As the fighting stopped and the king was dead, people started approaching the throne room. They were confused. Ryker looked weak and sick, and I looked perfectly fine. But when it was made clear that Ryker was the one that killed the king, all of the king's followers bowed to Ryker.
- That realization had barely settled before a soft, painful moan pulled me back into reality. I turned sharply at the sound and saw Ethan lying motionless on the ground. Panic shot through me, and I rushed over to him, dropping to my knees by his side. My voice broke as I screamed out his name, begging for help. I shouted for Mason and Knox, my voice echoing off the stone walls. We didn’t have time to spare. There was a werewolf pack located about an hour from the castle, and we needed to get Ethan there as fast as possible. He needed treatment immediately if we had any chance of saving him. The wolfsbane coursing through his body was deadly, and we had to act quickly.
