- I was sure that she had it under control now. Especially when she just appeared in front of me, yelling at me. I definitely knew that she was alright.
- I still couldn't sleep, so I went to the kitchen, and I grabbed a beer out of the fridge, and I sat at the back of the castle drinking it. There was a nice view from up here, looking down a cliff at the woods with a small stone wall around it. It was the perfect place to have small gatherings. Or even pretty large ones; there was a lot of room out here.
- I sat there for what felt like hours, watching the light slowly shift as the sun began to rise. The sky turned from gray to a soft orange, and soon the gold of the morning sun was spreading across the landscape. I was still surrounded by empty beer bottles, but thanks to our fast metabolisms, I wasn’t drunk. Just a little buzzed, maybe, and more than anything, lost in thought.
