Chapter 52
- Friday afternoons were basically filled with club activities. Since I wasn't part of any, I didn't bother rushing home as soon as the lunch bell rang. In order to avoid William, I had already packed my bag the night before and intended to skip lunch and take a taxi to the next town. From there, I would take a bus. However, my plans were quickly thwarted.
- In front of my house, a gray pickup truck was parked. William was leaning against the front of the truck and his gaze rose to me as if he were waiting for me. I couldn't hide my bad mood as I approached him.
- "You could have let me know you were coming." I felt disappointed that he had ruined my plans.
