• I didn't have any major troubles over the weekend. When I went to give Caroline her piano lesson on Saturday afternoon, William wasn't there. On Monday, I heard comments among my classmates that William wouldn't be teaching the theory class, but that the beta would be replacing him instead. It was a great way to start the week. I left the theory class, hoping that William would be away for a long time and that John would take over the class.
• When I got home, I ignored all my obligations and went to sleep. I intended to go back to the waterfall to talk to Mr. Mysterious, as this was the ideal moment, considering that William was absent. When I woke up at dawn, I grabbed a cereal bar and ate it while taking off my clothes. I left the house, hid the key at the bottom of the vase, and took the form of a wolf.
• "We're free again!" Lisa shouted inside me. I let her take complete control and felt the joy of running with her. As soon as we got close to the waterfall, I took the clothes I had hidden in a bag hanging from a nearby tree. I put them on and hurried toward the water.
