Chapter 44

• Saturday morning started out sunny. I spent the whole morning helping my grandmother fill mini crostata with the jams my aunt had prepared during the week. After lunch, I took a taxi to deliver the order to the party venue.
• "Hi! Over here!" Annie waved at me as soon as she saw me coming.
• The taxi drove past the alpha's house and stopped in front of the wall on the neighboring property. Annie opened a large white-painted iron gate leading to that property, and the taxi drove in. I was surprised by the number of flowers arranged in flower beds along the way.
