Chapter 31
- The day began calm and sunny. The sun's rays penetrated the window glass, waking me from a long and pleasant sleep. Lisa was still a little sad, so I decided not to go running at dawn, which gave me some extra time in bed. I got up and got ready, applying a little more makeup than usual, since today was the awards ceremony and I wanted to make a good impression.
- I lingered over breakfast a little longer than usual, avoiding the busiest time to enter the huge auditorium at the back of the school. When I reached the auditorium door, most of the students were already seated and there were no more empty seats.
- Many students remained standing at the back and some at the sides. I walked slowly along the side until I reached the row where the band was positioned. I leaned comfortably against the wall and waved to the group as Principal Silvia picked up the microphone to begin the ceremony.
