Chapter 46
- Leaving them behind, I walked straight to the garden and sat down at one of the outdoor tables. Even though I had arrived early, I wasn't the first to sit in the garden. There was a little girl sitting alone a few tables away from me. Relatively small in stature, she had a slim body, a round face, and long dark brown hair. She was dressed in a pretty yellow dress that fell to her knees, with floral details that gave her the innocent air of a child who looked no older than ten.
- From where I sat, I could see her little legs swinging, while her hands were busy searching for the next delicacy she would take from the plate in front of her.
- Little by little, several familiar faces from school arrived and filled the place. I decided to simply wait for a friendlier face to become available for me to approach.
