Chapter 14

• A few weeks had passed since that episode, and fortunately, I hadn't run into William again in the meantime. Annie and the band had been going out a lot lately, attending parties I wasn't invited to, so I spent most of my time at home finishing the compositions for my next album.
• Marcos, my manager, was very excited when he heard that Lisa was coming back. He was already making all the arrangements for recording the new songs. What I would need soon was special permission to go out and do the recordings, but I would leave that matter to be resolved when the time came.
• At the moment, I was in gym class. The teacher wanted to go over some exercises to test the students' speed and endurance, so I started warming up. Annie was next to me, imitating my stretches. With a clipboard in hand, the teacher called some girls to the court for a race. My name was on the list for the first round.
