Chapter 153

  • The sun shone brightly, tinging the sky with a reddish hue. The desert floor beneath my feet radiated heat, and around me there was nothing but sand. I continued walking aimlessly, lost in this endless desert, feeling an inner restlessness, as if I were searching for something or someone. It was then that I spotted a huge black wolf sitting on a rock. I approached and followed his gaze, fixed on the vastness of the desert in front of him, without any expression.
  • "Why are you alone?" I asked him in a hoarse voice.
  • I got no answer. Suddenly, an abyss opened up beneath my feet and I found myself falling into it. My heart ached, not from fear of the fall or the unknown, but from the idea of leaving that wolf alone again. I looked around and realized I was not alone in this abyss; several people were falling with me, their faces filled with despair and horror, their screams echoing in the void.
