• I ended up waking up at dawn to go running with Lisa. Although I felt calmer, she still needed to release all her anguish from the night before. When I returned to my room, the redness on my face had completely disappeared. I went back to sleep, and when I woke up, it was almost lunchtime.
• "Apparently, yesterday's party was good," my grandmother commented as we had lunch together.
