• Alexis sat on the couch, arms crossed firmly over her chest as she gazed at the front door. Her foot tapped anxiously on the floor, the sound resounding within the calm living room. The soft murmur of the tv scarcely enrolled as her mind dashed, devoured by the one thought she had been trying to thrust down for days.
