• Matthew Yu's apartment was filled with tension as the heavy rain pounded against the windows, providing a rhythmic soundtrack. In the kitchen, Matthew's hands clenched the table's edge tightly, displaying his veins as he battled anxiety in his heart. He was desperately trying to navigate the flood of emotions overwhelming him and to soothe his pounding heart.
• Alexis, who was Haven's Wife and best friend, sat in his living room in his apartment not too far away. She sat on his sofa's edge with her long black hair still damp from the rain, and her clothing was also soaked. Seeing her in damp attire and with tired eyes, she appeared so defenseless to Matthew that he felt a pain in his chest.
• "Are you certain you don't desire anything else?" Matthew was able to speak up, though his voice was not strong, he attempted to convey a sense of peace to Alexis. "I can bring you a cup of tea if you want."
