Chapter 121
- Haven sat in his living room, the tv buzzing softly in the background, in spite of the fact that he wasn’t paying attention. His fingers drummed inertly against the side of a cold larger bottle as he looked over through his phone. It had been a calm, uneventful evening, the kind of day that gave him as well much time to think. As well, much time to keep in mind Alexis. He tried to convince himself it now did not matter what happened to her, or what she chose to do with Matthew, the man she had left him for. But as hard as he tried, Haven couldn't very close it out. It still chewed at him in minutes like these, when the hush extended as well long and the memories of her disloyalty came surging back.
- His phone buzzed, twitching him out of his considerations. Fiona’s name showed up on the screen. Havenscowled, pondering why she was calling. Fiona wasn’t precisely a close friend, but she had been around enough amid his and Alexis’s relationship to know both of them well.
