  • Haven sat on the edge of his bed, his hands clasped firmly between his knees. Outside, the early morning sun crawled through the blinds, casting sharp lines over the floor. His phone buzzed close to him, but he overlooked it. It was continuously something, a new client request, an e-mail requiring quick reply, or Matthew. Matthew, that name reverberated through his mind like a melody he hated but couldn’t stop hearing.
