Chapter 27

• The streets of the city seemed to fade into the background as Alexis and Haven walked while holding hands through the park. The summer breeze blew gently above them. It felt like eternity, they were together once again, their hands together and hearts beating as one.
• Haven felt Alexis staring at him and turned to see her, a soft smile on his lips already. “What’s going on in your head?” he asked.
• Alexis caught herself blushing already, filled with admiration. “I’m just here thinking of how much I’ve missed you and this,” she said, holding his hand more tightly.
