• While Alexis walked out of the house angrily, the breeze served as a coolant to the heat of her anger and disdain. She could hear Haven’s footsteps running behind her, trying to catch up.
• “Alex, please wait let me explain!” Haven called out, his voice breaking the silence in the quiet neighborhood.
• She quickened her steps, her hands swinging vigorously. Tears welled up in her eyes but she held them back, determined not to let him see her cry.
