Haven sat behind his table, fingers drumming delicately on the wooden surface. His office noticed faintly of leather and old papers, the fragrance establishing him as he waited for the meeting to begin. The door swung open, and Alexis walked in, clutching a tablet against her chest. Her dim twists surrounded her face, and she wore the same fragrance he recollected from some days back, delicate jasmine, just unpretentious enough to bother.
“Hey haven, thought I’ll see you yesterday but I didn’t” Alexis said, a black out grin on her lips.
“Yeah, got somewhere else to be all afternoon” Havenmumbled, his throat fixing.
