• I can’t recall ever being nervous to set my intentions clear with a man. I knew this swirling ball of nauseating energy bouncing around in my stomach had little to do with the man I was walking towards and more to do with the man I’d left behind after barely convincing him to let me do this without his supervision. Draven had been vocal about his disapproval of me meeting Levi, but I couldn’t send him an impersonal text message and pretend things never happened.
• Levi didn’t incite any of the longing I felt for Draven, but he’d been a companion on the days I was left alone. He deserved an actual explanation. Not that I planned to reveal that tidbit about Draven and me diving headfirst into a sexual relationship. Nope. I wouldn’t even know what to describe it as, because it sure as hell wasn’t a relationship.
