• The singular action pulsed in my mind even as I seated myself at the edge of my bed. My heart pumping blood to my limbs, forcing me to action but my mind…gone damn it, my mind was weighted. I had built a life here. I had friends and a job. I was happy to be burdened with the stresses of normal life and now all of it was slipping away, like sand through my fingers. As if everything I cultivated was abnormal in my possession and now it was returning to its rightful place.
