• Draven started for his discarded trousers and boxers but I grabbed his arm with both hands. He focused on me, my grip tightening on his corded muscles. They felt strained and tight beneath my fingers. I wasn’t ready for him to leave me again. A strange calm settled in the pit of my stomach now that he was present. It should terrify me but instead, it allowed me a glimpse of clarity. My decisions over the past few days fell on me with the full force of a brick wall and I almost winced at the damage I’d almost caused. Sex with another man? With Levi? Good God, I was out of my damned mind. The only thing it would accomplish is my own self-loathing and regret. Honestly, I wasn’t certain if I would have gone through with it.
• Draven rose a thick brow as he regarded me with indifference. The lust and desire long cleared from those moonless eyes as they narrowed on where I touched him. I sucked in a calming breath at the heat scorching his pupils. If looks were dangerous, I was almost certain my hands would disintegrate with the heat of his stare alone.
