• I’ve sat through countless interrogations and I refused to nurse the expectation that I’ll ever be impassive. Draven’s tactics, his mannerisms, and his very aura kept onlookers transfixed. He used his prisoner’s minds against them, instilling fear by being that untouchable, unfathomable force beckoning from the darkness. And if there was one thing I learnt, men feared that which they couldn’t see or understand.
• He’d allowed two of his men, including me, to filter into the room. Even I could barely recognise him in the dark. His voice was low, and menacing as he questioned the men. They didn’t budge.
