• Such a silly thing to forget but my mind was easily preoccupied with finding a possible link between the missing girls and a motive. We were lucky to find them all intact and unharmed save for the trauma inflicted by being kidnapped. A strange finding if there ever was one. These girls were taken for a purpose, from the interviews I conducted they all reported being paraded before a man before being sent away.
• None of them passed the test and yet all of them had similar features. I’d gone over the files countless times and I hadn’t realised that it was well past midnight. My concentration was cracked by the faintest sound filtering through my phone. The surveillance device I attached to the outside of Riley’s window siphoned every movement and sound to my end since I’d forgotten to close the app.
