• “The buy is happening tonight,” Eddy confirmed with a slight nod. He was running tactical support since I was spread thin. Between this mission and the minor opens I had open I needed a second in command to take some of the pressure off. I did, however, get an earful for assigning time to uncover more about Riley. Not that I was open to listening to Eddy’s advice. His services didn’t include unsolicited instruction. I barely considered the ones that were solicited as it is.
• “And you think the Cosa Nostra is involved,” I fingered through the file he put together. His organizational skills needed some work but that was to be expected. Eddy was the newest addition to the organisation. We often outsourced additional security for day-to-day operations but I was impressed by Eddy’s talents when he was assigned to me some months ago. He spent his younger years in the military and had extensive knowledge and experience with countless weapons and strategic training. I saw potential for the organization and recruited him almost immediately. For now, he shadows me just until he acquires enough knowledge to join the newer recruits.
