• It was within my contemplation to approach Riley. How she gazed upon me, while I was conversing with the boy at her side, all but confirmed that she knew me. From where? I couldn’t tell. And I believe I would have remembered seeing this red-haired vixen.
• All I knew was that I needed to find out why she gazed at me as if she saw a ghost. If she were capable of exposing me, she had to be dealt with, and quickly. I couldn’t be straying from my mission, not when much was at stake. At the same time, I couldn’t scare her away. I had to ensure she did not suspect me.
