• “Something is seriously wrong with you.” The words were past my lips before I made the conscious decision to verbalize them.
• “That may be so, princess but my threats are never idle.” He warned, his tone utterly calm and I might have been persuaded to believe he was commenting on the size of the room. The only thing that betrayed him were those eyes, they held an intensity that shook my very soul. A shiver tingled along my spine and goosebumps scattered across my skin. The chattering around us dulled and for those ensuing moments, there was just us.
