• “Everyone’s staring,” her voice was urgent, her fingers pinching the fabric of my shirt at my elbow. The entire drive had been cocooned in silence, our conversation last night the last we spoke and I wasn’t sure where her mind was on the notion of running.
• “You learn to ignore it.” I muttered with a grin while she levelled me with a scowl. My initial plan was to hide her away at my compound but Talia’s intrusion the night before scraped those plans. That girl couldn’t keep her mouth shut to save her life.
